126,000 HOMES + 822,000 ACRES OF TREES + 6,000 MILES OF ROADS + 1,893 LANDSLIDES + 1,000 BRIDGES GONE + THE NUMBER OF LIVES LOST MAY NEVER BE KNOWN. Words cannot convey the catastrophic impact of this Geological Disaster. This land, the rivers & our community is no longer what it was. We need time to recover from the depth of loss & heartbreak. That said, a gift of this time is the unprecedented floodgate of love, kindness & mutual aid that is pouring in. It’s such a wild ride, to be as grateful as we are grieving. Even FEMA says we are the most resilient they’ve ever seen. Community is everything!
